You'll see current weather conditions, including indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, wind speedc and direction, dew point and rainfall. You'll also get weather forecast icons, moon phase, sunrise/sunset times, graphing of weather trends, alarms and more. Vantage Vue also boasts the innovative Weather Center button that displays additional data on weather variables for today and over the last 25 days.
The Vantage Vue from Davis Instruments is one of the most reliable weather stations available, with easy to view features and applications that already provide an outstanding experience for your clients. We’ve updated a few important components within the Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) that you need to be aware of as they will impact the service and repair of the product.
Improvement features and benefits include:
- Improved wind speed and rain sensors: Reed switches were replaced with solid state magnetic sensors to eliminate reed switch issues.
- Improved internal cables: The grey ribbon cables were replaced with sheathed 28 AWG cables, which are more robust and may help to decrease RF interference.
- Enhanced moisture control and corrosion resistance: The Rain/Battery PCBA compartment was redesigned with a better seal to prevent moisture intrusion and corrosion. We also removed two gold programming pads and separated the remaining two. This enhancement eliminates any gold pad electrolysis/corrosion and eliminates the need for electronic gel on the gold pads.
- More robust battery connection: We increased spring tension and added a non-tarnishable finish to the battery contacts for a better battery connection.
