Fact-checking is a modern, identifiable category of journalism. Its goal is to provide accurate, unbiased analysis of statements made in public in order to correct public misconceptions and increase knowledge of important issues.
Fact-checking is the act of checking factual information in non-fictional text in order to determine the veracity and correctness of the factual statements in the text.
